2018 Mustang JH Installation Football Camp
As we begin this new era of Mustang football, I find it vitally important that we continue to build upon the good things happening within our youth football program. I cannot stress enough the importance of learning both the skills and terminology that we use at the high school level within our Junior High program. Of course, the Junior High players are not expected to grasp the entirety of what they high school program does, but a lot can be implemented. However, if all the stakeholders involved with our students from elementary to high school desire for this to be the best and most complete program it can be, we all must be on the same page! Our players must be taught the systems that our high school staff is implementing so that we can do what is best for the program as a whole; putting our kids in the best position to learn and achieve success on the field.
WHO: All students in grades 7-8 (Fall of 2018)
WHEN: August 1-3 (3 days) - 8 AM-10 AM
WHAT: Installing the program’s basic culture offensive and defensive schemes and teaching the skills and techniques required to execute our schemes
WHY: Having a unified approach and philosophy is one of the most important things that a program can do to be successful. We must build a strong Junior High program that aligns with the systems the high school program is currently implementing.
